Project Overview

A short walk to the pier down the hill is always a great way to clear my head. However, I did not feel so welcome this Saturday afternoon. I packed my camera and leashed up the dog for an afternoon stroll. I could have sworn I heard an audible, "bread, NOW" from various quacks of malicious Mallards. I thought this was a people pier, but their swarming around me proved otherwise. "I don't have any bread," I said aloud. If they had hands, I'm sure they'd be flipping me off.

After a few minutes of my dog sniffing at them like spoiled chicken and me trying to shoo them away, I gave up and decided to take some photos instead. The light was perfect, and the ducks were more than happy to pose for me. I managed to capture some great shots of the ducks in their natural habitat, apologized for visiting empty handed, and dragged my poor pup away.
